Chris Manson, Consultant at Equiniti, has been elected Chair of the Information and Records Management Society’s (IRMS) Ireland group.

Chris, whose Belfast-based role at Equiniti focuses on document and record management, case management and complaint management, was previously Secretary of IRMS.

The Ireland group of IRMS was formed in 2005 to create a networking opportunity for record management professionals to share knowledge and experience and promote record management locally.

Commenting on his new role, Chris said: “I’m delighted to have been elected Chair of IRMS’ Ireland group. The group has gone from strength to strength in the last few years, giving members the opportunity to share best practice and collaborate to highlight the importance of quality record management. I look forward to leading the group into the future.”

Nigel Farr, Director at Equiniti, said: “Chris is a fantastic asset to the company and it’s excellent to see him representing the industry at this level. Information is the most important asset of any organisation, so looking after it properly is critical. With increasing compliance requirements in this area, the importance of doing so effectively will only increase, and I am confident Chris will bring significant value to the business and our clients as the industry advances.”
